Roy Cho is an aspiring young clarinetist based in Chicago. He is currently finishing his Bachelor’s degree at DePaul University where he is studying with Stephen Williamson of the Chicago Symphony. Roy’s enthusiasm for music ranges from the likes of Bach to Reich, and he is an active performer of contemporary music, performing in ensembles like the Modern Reeds and 5th Wave Collective. Roy has performed in masterclasses led by clarinetist Olivier Patey of the Royal Concertgebouw and tenor Scott Ramsay of the Lyric Opera. Roy currently plays with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago as an associate member.
